The Profigips PROFLEX adjustable starting strip is a professional PVC base profile designed for precise and durable installation of ETICS external wall insulation systems. With an adjustable range of 100 to 160 mm, a single profile can be adapted to different insulation thicknesses, reducing stock complexity while improving site efficiency.
Manufactured from high-quality PVC, the profile is resistant to moisture, UV exposure and corrosion, ensuring long-term durability in external applications. The integrated fibreglass reinforcing mesh strengthens the base of the system and improves bonding with the reinforcing layer and render.
Unlike traditional metal starter profiles, the PROFLEX design eliminates thermal bridging, helping maintain the thermal performance of the façade. The built-in drip edge safely channels rainwater away from the insulation, reducing the risk of moisture penetration and staining at the plinth level.
The adjustable segmented shelf allows quick mechanical adaptation on site without additional accessories, making installation faster and more flexible. The result is a straight, stable and visually clean starting line that improves both the performance and appearance of the finished façade.
The PROFLEX starting strip is compatible with both EPS (polystyrene) and mineral wool insulation systems and is suitable for use in all standard ETICS applications.
